‘High’ (A work in progress)

‘High’ (A work in progress)

High’ – Is the new highly physical and heart deep work that we are currently working on.  It is currently in it’s second phase of research and development and is based on the realm of ‘health’ through a journey of escape, acceptance and memories. It  is about real thoughts and emotions people wouldn’t normally hear about… A person torn between two parts of themself, when a state of denial and blame bring them back into past where  memories try to take over…

High’ will look at  the emotional and psychological stages of overcoming addiction. Homing in on the individual in an autobiographical styled journey as well as universal perspective on how we strive to protect our vulnerability.

The work will be made with a striped back visual design and a striking cast of dancers. We are proud to have the support from Arts Council England, REP Theatre in Birmingham and Sandwell College to enable us to undertake this 2nd round R&D to develope the work which will eventually be 1hr show.

We would like dancers and audience members to join us on this exciting journey, as we will open up sharings of the work to gain feedback during its development.

The aims of ‘High’ are to create a space to ponder and reflect on your own health and what you can do to help it. In a time where we rely on social media to tell an individuals life story… ‘High’ could not be anymore timely.
