Keisha began dance classes from the age of 3 at The Maureen Smith School of Dance. Throughout the years spent there she was entered in many competitions held throughout the West Midlands, winning gold awards on countless occasions and being awarded most promising dancer on at least 5 occasions.
Keisha's first experience on a professional stage was at the age of 16 when she starred in the musical Mac and Mabel staged at Alexandra Theatre, Birmingham. After completing A Levels, Keisha was awarded a Dance and Drama Award to train at Laban Centre London. She then completed a BA (HONS) double degree in Dance studies & Fine Art at Roehampton University gaining a 2:1.
Keisha has toured nationally and internationally with companies including ACE Dance and Music, Tavaziva Dance, Movement Angol and State Of Emergency. Dancing in a number of diverse productions choreographed by the likes of Vincent Mantsoe (South Africa), Akiko Kitamura (Japan), Bawren Tavaziva (Zimbabwe/UK), Gregory Maquoma (South Africa), Koffi Kokko (Benin) and Gail Parmel (UK).
Keisha began Choreographing professionally in 2008, after being chosen to showcase at The New Vibes Festival, Patrick Centre; 'We said, I said, you said' was supported by Dance X Change and funded by Arts Council England. Her 2nd work 'Me 2 You' was nominated for Dance X Changes 'Triple Bill' programme and supported by Arts Council England. In 2010 Keisha Choreographed a site specific in the caging of Architecture of Stirling Prize winning Peckham library for T.Mobile Big Dance. In 2010 Keisha was commissioned by Creative Leap managed by The Drum, Sampad and Ulpha Arts to develope 'All Seeing'. The works were later invited to perform at at various Theatres, community, festivals, community and corporate events.
Keisha has delivered extensive educational projects for countless Schools and community organisations on behalf of Maximum Dance Design, ACE Dance and Music, State Of Emergancy, Southwark Council, Solihull Council, MBK Dance, Artis; the pioneering company for creative learning. Credits include Roehampton, Wolverhampton and Plymouth University's, The Brit School and Central School of Ballet as well as countless Primary and Secondary Schools throughout the UK.
