Keneish Dance is a fresh and innovative Contemporary company that combines extensive educational and performance projects. Formed in 2008 under the artistic eye of Keisha Grant, the company has developed a powerful approach to dance.

Keneish Dance was set during a research and development period funded by the Arts Council England and initiated by DanceXchange at Birmingham’s Hippodrome Theatre, West Midlands’s largest centre for dance. Within a few months the company was already touring their first work throughout venues in London and Birmingham.

The company prides itself in delivering honest and up to date knowledge of dance through constant research and exploration.

The work is inspired by Dance of an African Diaspora (African, Jazz, Street, Tap). Embracing the range of physicality and dynamic flow of movement.

Individual expression is central to the ethos of Keneish Dance’s work. We are passionate about what we do and deliver to the highest standard.
